About Our Founder, Amanda Demoura.
I’ve immersed myself in the world of dentistry for nearly two decades now, and it’s been quite the adventure!
My journey began during dental hygiene school when I started working at the front office of a truly one-of-a-kind dental practice. However, it was as their Practice Administrator that I discovered my true passion.
Being a Practice Administrator allowed me to explore almost every aspect of the dental office, and see just how important revenue cycle management is to a thriving practice.
Because I'm a true {elder} millenial, 15 years ago I started a bit of a side hustle; helping local practices clean up their outstanding insurance claims.
Fast forward to today, and now EDS has evolved into a comprehensive dental revenue cycle management company with clients all around the country. It has been an amazing ride!
Leading the passionate team I’m fortunate enough to have drives me to keep my finger on the pulse! I am continuously taking insurance courses to keep up with trends, speaking at meetings, and publishing articles.
I held the Vice President role of the Dental Manager Collective of Boston, completed the ADA’s dental coding certificate program and maintain a Fellowship designation with the American Association of Dental Office Management.
Outside of dentistry, you can find me getting my hands dirty in my garden or unleashing my creativity in the kitchen as a home chef. And of course, spending quality time with my amazing husband and our adorable two-year-old son is always at the top of my priority list.
I’m also co-hosting the Breath of Fresh Air Dental Podcast! Life is definitely full of excitement!
I have been working in dentistry since 2013, and most recently, I served as an Office Manager for five years at various offices. Now, I am the mastermind behind the operations at EDS, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Organization and system optimization are my bread and butter. My specialty lies in developing efficient workflows and processes to ensure seamless operations.
My pre-dental journey includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Communications from Rocky Mountain College and a Master’s Degree in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. This academic foundation has played a crucial role in shaping my management style and crafting effective communication strategies for both clients and team members. During my college years, I worked in the hotel industry, but my roots in hospitality run deep! Growing up in Yellowstone National Park, I scooped ice cream and served coffee to millions of tourists each year, igniting my passion for hospitality and customer service.
Even though my formal education is behind me, I firmly believe in the power of knowledge. That’s why I continue to learn and grow whenever possible. I hold a certification from the ADA Dental Coding program, and proudly carry the distinguished title of Fellow of the American Association of Dental Office Managers (FAADOM). You’ll often find me attending webinars or pursuing further education to stay ahead of industry trends.
Outside of work, I am a devoted mom to energetic five-year-old twins as well as a sweet six-month-old Golden Retriever. We love spending time outdoors near our home in western Washington. When not immersed in the digital world, you’ll find me honing my skills as a novice (but passionate!) cook/baker while enjoying cooking competition shows on Food Network – with my husband happily serving as my personal food critic!
